I really enjoy experimenting with slow shutter speed. That means a lot of practice and a lot of discarding. I had spent a whole day trying to get more experience in this but that one good photo just wasn't there. Somewhat frustrated I went back to the campsite in the Netherlands where we were. The sun was setting and just as I was about to take a nice shower after a hot day, I saw a play of colors emerging from the setting sun between the trees at the edge of the forest. I rushed back to the caravan, grabbed my camera and without looking at the settings, started clicking. In doing so, I moved my camera from bottom to top and then saw that a kind of painting was created. After doing it again a few times, this picture appeared with a beautiful color palette, resembling a painting.
This work will look great in a warm interior but it will also greatly appeal to people who love nature.
