This work, entitled "A study in homage to Jean Dubuffet", was born of a desire to explore and engage with the singular world of this visionary artist. Inspired by his raw, instinctive approach, I sought to rediscover the energy of his gesture, his freedom of composition and the chromatic boldness that makes every surface vibrate.
Dubuffet never painted to please, but to express the world differently: a world stripped of its artifice, where spontaneity and substance take precedence over convention. In this study, I set out to capture that essence, immersing myself in his vivid, contrasting colours and seemingly naïve but deeply thought-out forms.
This tribute is also a way of acknowledging his immense legacy: a permanent invitation to break codes, to rediscover the creative child in all of us, and to celebrate art in its freest dimension.
