Under a dramatic sky, the Zeeland Bridge stretches across the calm waters of the Oosterschelde. The clean lines of the white pillars and the rhythm of the geometric openings create a play of perspective and symmetry. The warm evening light subtly reflects in the water, creating a serene atmosphere that evokes calm and stillness.
This photo was created during a walk on Noord-Beveland, where the interplay of light, sky and construction struck me. The bridge, an icon of Zeeland, connects not only land, but also memories - of travelling, of coming home, of the silence of the water.
With this sculpture, I wanted to show not only the technical beauty of the bridge, but also the emotion of the moment: a transition between day and night, between movement and stillness. It is a work that fits into an interior where tranquillity, space and architectural elegance are valued.
Sometime in 1980 Jan bought his first SLR camera and since that time a camera has always been at his fingertips.
