The Dutch draught horse is a breed of cold-blooded horses that has had its origins in Dutch horse breeding since the end of the 19th century. The breed is especially held in honour in Zeeland and is known there, but also in the rest of the country, as the Zeeuws trekpaard.
It is very similar to the Belgian draught horse from which it originated. The breed goes back to an old type of workhorse that was already used in the Middle Ages.
