Four girls in Walcheren costume seek cooling in the Veerse Meer on a summer day in August. They are wearing the traditional Walcheren costume. The chequered aprons is the daily work costume and the black aprons is the Sunday costume. In the background, the traditional Hoogaars sailing ships sail across Lake Veere.
