In spring, wood anemones bloom in the forest. Tiny flowers that turn towards the sun and unfold their petals. In spring 2023, I went to see them again and spent several hours lying on my stomach to be at eye level with them. This time, I was visited by a mildew ladybird. A tiny critter that went to explore the wood anemone for a change. He was enjoying himself as he went to wash his paws. Its black eyes are beautifully clear. I chose a small depth of field so that all the attention goes to the ladybird. This also creates the soft background. This way it is not distracting.
The photo fits into any interior. I think it works especially well in a slightly larger format in a quiet interior so that all attention is focused on the animal. Especially on walls with earth tones, the picture fits well.
