This is a restored image of a school plate that used to hang in a lot of classrooms. Maybe you remember it from your childhood. The original edition was by Wolters of Groningen - The Hague. This school place was made by Bos, Kwast and Pelder. It depicts the reclamation of the Wieringermeerpolder near Medemblik. Visible in the plate are a pumping station and machinery needed for the reclamation at the time. Fragments of the dike can also be seen. Originally, this picture was printed in 84 x 64 cm format. That is also a very nice size to hang it on your wall. Because this is a restoration of a very old school plate, some weathering features have not been removed and left as they are.
Because this is an old picture, it is okay to show that. It adds to the authenticity of the image.
If this school chart takes you back to your youth, it is a beautiful image to hang on your wall.
