How minimal something can be and yet how much shape can be in it. Two sheets on a market stall. That's all it is. The cotton fabric falls down guided by the pegs into a shape in folds. A material that is soft and can conform to any shape and now consists of folds, shadows and light parts. Lots of shades of grey. It could also be a detail of a plaster or marble statue. The gown of a Roman senator or a Greek goddess. The masculinity of a cape or the femininity of a robe that drapes around the female form. So you can dream away in history and distant civilisations while doing nothing more than walking past the stalls at your local market.
