A few years ago, I finally visited the Westland Museum. So close and yet waiting so long to visit. Anyway, so it happened. The history of Westland horticulture can be seen there. Personally, I liked the historical garden best. A kind of "memory-lane" as it is called. Along my father's garden path, Wim Sonneveld's famous verse, I was reminded of that too. Grape greenhouses in all kinds of designs. The type A. The type with the knee... Old tools and more. Fruit walls, barns, a Westland barge, a real brick chimney! A feast of recognition! Lovely to browse around there. I "happened" to have my camera with me.
I definitely wanted to capture a few different types of the grape greenhouses present. One of them is this one. A real knee greenhouse. From the looks of it, this one was also heated. Very modern for the time when this grape greenhouse was in use. The composition of this creation pleased me. I edited the original photo with a special photo-editing programme so that it now looks more like a painting. Digitally created, that is. Colourful, historic, Westland, unique. Just four reasons to hang Westland Art #07 on your wall. Whether it is the living room, the office, the reception hall, anything is possible. In my opinion, it is a jewel on any wall....
