About "Waterfall in the Ardennes"

About the artwork

My first real attempt at long shutter speed photography. I had had the right filter in my bag for long shutter speed photos for a while, but you don't come across many waterfalls in the Netherlands. So when we were on a family holiday in the Ardennes, I decided to look for a nearby waterfall. I really wanted to practise this branch pf photography for once. The hike to the waterfall was already beautiful, walking along the small river, with bridges and stepping stones. To get to the waterfall itself, you had to climb down a steep slope, but it was well worth it. Balancing on a few boulders in the water to avoid falling into it yourself.
Setting the tripod so that the camera was as close to the surface of the water as possible, but not actually ìn it (although part of the camera did dip for a bit, luckily my brother pointed this out to me immediately).
And then find a nice composition. I really wanted the whole waterfall on it, and had an image in my mind of close to the surface of the water, with the beautiful deep brown colours of the river bottom as the foreground. I did a joy jump almost into the water from the boulder at the bottom left of the image. This stands out beautifully above the water, adding depth and balance to the image. Overall, the colours contrast and harmonise beautifully. I am over the moon about this photo.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
