Near the Camperduin beach, you will find a beautiful nature area where it is lovely to walk. In this nature reserve lies the bird paradise De Putten. This is a large pool of water with islands in it which is indeed, as the name suggests, a bird paradise: there is water, there are meadows nearby with plenty of greenery around them and the beach is nearby. The separation between the sea and the beach on one side and this nature reserve on the other is formed by a dike: the Hondsbosche Zeewering.
Surrounding the bird paradise are meadows with farms. The meadows are full of horses, cows and sheep. The view around the pool of water with birds is beautiful. A footpath runs through this area of meadows and along the way you come across many ditches which the water birds also make great use of.
On the day this photo was taken, the weather was beautiful late summer: plenty of sunshine interspersed with dramatic cloudy skies. The reflection of the sunlight and clouds in the water always produces a beautiful picture. I wanted to capture the warmth of the summer day with this photo; a photo in which the summer warmth radiates from the image!
In the distance on the horizon, the dunes of Schoorl are visible: a huge expanse of dunes, the largest in the Netherlands.

I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
