My work "Water Drops on an Illuminated Plastic Surface" focuses on the quiet beauty of the everyday. You can see finely distributed drops of water resting on a structured, translucent plastic surface. Targeted lighting creates fascinating refractions and reflections that make the drops look like small lenses - each a microcosm in itself.
The inspiration for this picture came to me while experimenting with everyday materials. I was attracted by the idea of capturing something as fleeting as water in a moment of tranquillity - captured through the lens, but not staged. The combination of artificial material and natural element creates a subtle tension that captivates the eye.
