About "View of the Canigou near Terrats (66)"

About the artwork

The winter sky is a brilliant blue in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The crisp air hints at the cold - and yet it awakens the atmosphere of the Midi. the south of France. In the foreground is a freshly ploughed field, its rusty earth a sign of the fertility of the region. Not far away is a "casot", a typical Catalan peasant work hut, built of dry stone and bearing witness to a centuries-old tradition. The sturdy structure appears to be a vestige of times gone by, while at the same time illustrating the farmers' tireless commitment to their harvest.

Behind the field stands the majestic snow-capped peak of Canigou, the sacred mountain of the Catalans. Its summit rises into the cloudless sky, an imposing symbol of cultural importance and natural beauty. Canigou rises above the surrounding landscape like a protector watching over the land.

The harmonious interplay between the freshly tilled land, the traditional "casot" and the imposing Canigou forms an impressive image. It conveys people's attachment to their environment, their deep roots in nature and the tireless work needed to make the land a source of life. It's a moment that captures the beauty of the countryside of the 66 department, and carries with it the stories and traditions of an entire community.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
