From Gozo, there is an impressive view of the small neighbouring island of Comino, which rises up in the glittering expanse of the Mediterranean. The scenery is characterised by lush greenery, fertile terraced fields and the deep blue water that shimmers between the islands. Comino is only 3.5 square kilometres in size and almost uninhabited, but is world-famous for its Blue Lagoon, whose turquoise waters attract visitors like a magnet.
In the foreground of the picture you can see the typical agricultural fields of Gozo, framed by low stone walls and natural paths, which emphasise the traditional character of the island. The contrast between the cultivated fields and the wild coastline emphasises the charm of this landscape. On the horizon, Comino stands out as a mysterious island, embedded in the changing play of light in the sky and the sea.
This view shows the close connection between the Maltese islands and illustrates the diversity in a very small area: from quiet bays to imposing rocky coasts and lively cultural history. Anyone visiting Malta should not miss this view from Gozo to Comino - it conveys both distance and closeness and invites you to discover the island world with all its facets.
