About the artwork

Welcome to one of the most spectacular locations on the Namibian coast: Cape Cross. What this picture shows is not a photomontage, but pure force of nature. Up to 250,000 South African fur seals (Arctocephalus pusillus) huddle close together here - a scene that is simultaneously overwhelming, chaotic and fascinating. A daily spectacle takes place between the sand and surf that can hardly be described in words: roaring males, chirping cubs, hectic hustle and bustle - a soundtrack of primal instinct and the art of survival.

This picture captures all of this masterfully. The dense texture of the bodies, the contrasting interplay of movement and stillness, and the cool spray of the Atlantic in the background. It is a visual experience that takes the viewer right into the heart of this untamed world.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
