This tulip picture was taken in spring. It always makes me happy when the first tulips bloom. That's how I came to paint this tulip picture. You can see lots of tulips with their narrow leaves. I used lots of different coloured and strong acrylic paints and painted them in patches. The background was painted with the colour turquoise, which also appears repeatedly in the tulips. This brings the tulips more into the foreground and still looks harmonious.
