This artwork shows the beautiful architecture of traditional Japanese houses with a typical Japanese prunus tree in front of it.
I chose to make this artwork because I find Japanese architecture beautiful and because of this I wanted to make a painting that can show that splendour. I also really like the prunus tree so by combining these points I was able to realise a typical Japanese village.
I made this painting in the impressionism style. I didn't choose to add too much detail in it because I don't like too realistic in paintings. Otherwise, you might as well take a photograph.
This work of art will go well with your interior if you have a light-coloured wall, because this painting allows you to create a little more shape in your room. And because there are no bright colours in the painting, it is also not too much for your eyes, making it a very good combination. But of course, it will also just fit on a dark wall as you can then blend the painting and the wall.
