The one-masted Zeiltjalk "De Vlieter" with its home port of Dokkum, the ship that first set sail in 1905 was originally built as a cargo ship.
Now it serves as a passenger ship and makes several-day sailing trips.
During a round trip on the Wadden Sea, this beautiful sailing ship passed by, capturing the imagination of how cargo used to be transported by sea.
Initially, I immediately made a black-and-white photo of it in post-processing, but in colour it is also a beautiful scene, it gives an atmosphere of antiquity and authenticity, the seagulls flying by complete the picture.
