About the artwork

A lone car travels through the rugged landscapes of Iceland's highlands, crossing a river with a waterfall just below. Captured from the air, this drone photo highlights how overwhelming nature is here in contrast to the tiny human.

The dark tones, dramatic sky and untamed surroundings give the photo a moody feel, a typical Icelandic atmosphere where adventure and silence come together.

On this trip, I felt like I was travelling through an otherworldly landscape. The landscape is grand, pure, and untouched and I wanted to capture that in this image. It is a reminder of freedom and daring to seek the unknown.

Iceland has been a place that has fascinated me for years: rugged, mysterious and constantly changing. This particular shot had been on my wish list for a long time.

I am always looking for that 'moody' atmosphere: threatening skies, cool colours and a landscape that does not fully reveal itself right away. During this moment, all the elements fell together. For me, this photo embodies everything I look for in my work: raw nature, a sense of adventure and a touch of mystery.

This photo appeals to travellers, but also to people who like powerful, rugged images in their interiors.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
