The Moray site, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas near Cuzco, is a unique place where the Incas developed advanced agricultural techniques. This complex of circular terraces forms a veritable open-air agricultural laboratory. Thanks to this amphitheatre-like structure, the Incas were able to experiment with different crops at different altitudes, with temperature variations of over 15°C between the top and bottom of the terraces. In this way, they created favourable microclimates for acclimatising plants from different regions. These agronomic trials bear witness to their know-how and in-depth understanding of nature. Today, Moray fascinates with its ingenious structures and peaceful beauty, attracting visitors and researchers to explore Inca agricultural ingenuity.
