About ‘The Seminary Church in the moonlight’ by Marcel Hechler

On this winter evening, I was out on a photography tour in Ehingen an der Donau and stopped at the edge of Lake Groggen just as the daylight was fading.

The deep blue of the late twilight already lay over the Stadtgarten, whilst the Konviktskirche, with its onion-domed tower, still rose from the park, bathed in warm light. The moon shone clearly above the bare pollarded willows. Before me lay the lake, so still that it reflected the entire scene almost seamlessly — the church, the street lamps and the moon, brightly mirrored on the dark water.

This moment captivated me because warm light and cool twilight lie so close together here. The image carries a calm, almost solemn stillness — a motif for spaces where one wishes to find peace, such as above a sofa or in the bedroom.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
