About the artwork

Deep in the desolate landscape of northern Iceland, Aldeyjarfoss roars, a waterfall where nature meets mysticism. Here, the ice-cold glacial water of the Skjálfandafljót River plunges with impetuous force over a wall of dark basalt columns. These unique, hexagonal structures seem almost sculpted by an ancient force of nature, oblivious to time or human existence.

At dusk or during an overcast day, the surroundings take on an almost sinister atmosphere. The darkness emphasises the drama of the black basalt, while the white foam heads of the water contrast sharply against the background. This is a place where nature shows its raw power but at the same time leaves a sense of enchantment.

Aldeyjarfoss is more than a waterfall; it is a symbol of the ancient forces that shaped Iceland and a reminder of man's insignificance compared to nature.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
