The Maastoren in Rotterdam, perhaps better known to some as the Deloitte building because of the letters on the facade, photographed with a long shutter speed on a windy day. By using the long shutter speed (20 seconds in this case), the moving clouds are rendered as stripes in the sky.
Located at Kop van Zuid, the Maastoren, with 44 floors and a height of 165 metres, was the tallest building in the Netherlands until a few years ago and is still a very recognisable point in the Rotterdam skyline. Today, in the same city but on the opposite bank stands the Zalmhavenentoren, a skyscraper that, at over 200 metres high, is now the tallest building in the Netherlands.
