The last rays of the sun disappear on this side of the earth. They leave the Seljalandsfoss behind in darkness. As the stars slowly take over the firmament, the water of the Seljalandsfoss continues to fall unruffled. An almost inexhaustible supply of water plunges more than 60 metres into the depths.
A light mist slowly clings to the rock face behind the waterfall. The narrow path, which continues behind the waterfall, fills with the rapidly freezing mist and makes a perfect, mirror-smooth ice floor.
As the sky slowly turns a deep blue, the horizon wallows in an increasingly warm golden light. An almost unreal sunset.
