The Helleborus does not let winter upset it and just keeps on flowering. When spring announces itself, the colour becomes fresher and more evident in the garden. I always find it a grateful plant, which ensures that even in a period when it is dark and cold, there is still a plant that, through its flowers, keeps the hope alive that winter will not last. In Lightroom, I loosened up the flower by applying masks and made the background dark in a reverse selection. I left the colour untouched, but did add a little more light. The sharpness was improved by using Topaz Sharpen. I placed the flower off-centre, because I merged the picture with a Lily and a Primula into a triptych, which can also be found in my shop with the work code 1138683. By placing the Helleborus in the triptych on the left side, the space on the right side of the picture gives the middle picture (the Lily) a natural space.
