About the artwork
Innocent, sweet, smart, childishly mature. Susannah, like many of ElineMoos' works, has a first name as a title. With that, she is more than paint and pen on paper, she is someone. An acquaintance, a friend, a sister. This work comes into its own on cushions and bags; everyday utensils; because of her accessibility in the eyes but also because of the nice background. Have you noticed that each doll is unique? This is handwork and not a digital drawing. Each doll is drawn and ElineMoos has done her best to make sure no two dolls are the same. All those little figures in the background look at Susannah in wonder. What could they see?
The work was made with fineliners and water colours on cotton paper. Gold acrylic paint was used for the glasses.
