On Texel on the wadden sea side, this photo was taken in the village of De Cocksdorp near the rise and wadden sea harbor that lies behind the dike.
The photo was taken from the top of the dike on the left side in the grass on the dike so that the sun rises nicely along the jetty of the wadden sea port and in the almost windless waters the sunrise reflexes nicely.
The thick cloud plays into the beautiful reflexion of the red-orange sunlight.
Unfortunately we were not the only ones and you can see that on the jetty because there are some other people photographing there.
Up early though but definitely worth experiencing and (re)experiencing, which I keep doing when I see this photo.
I used an ND filter to straighten the relationship between the lights above the horizon and below the horizon a bit for a nice and more natural result as you personally experience.
