About the artwork

In the province of Groningen in Schildwolde across the Afwateringskanaal and near the Sans Souci pumping station is the Schildjer Tilbat, a high wooden bicycle bridge. Located southwest of the Schildmeer, the bridge was built in 2009 to enable a cycle route around the Schildmeer. The bridge is named after the nearby town of Schildwolde (Schildjer) and Tilbat is a Groningen word for drawbridge. I took the photo on a beautiful foggy morning with a beautiful sunrise. The contours of the bridge blur in the dense fog, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere. In the foreground, weeds or also Flutesweed can be seen which frame the misty scene nicely. A single tree on the left side of the bridge stands out sharply against the light background, while the horizon in the distance shows a subpar glow of pink and orange. The serene and somewhat mysterious look of the photo emphasises the peaceful beauty of the Groningen landscape around Schildwolde.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
