Sunrise at 6.00am at the Looveer with fog on the river, the Lower Rhine. During the corona period, I loved getting up very early and looking for beautiful pictures of landscapes with the sunrise. The beauty of this picture is that you get a kind of halo of the sun rays through the fog and the reflection in the calm water. The little boats you see in the water are used to hold the line of the ferry in place. The Looveer also has a beautiful history that goes back to the year 1843 and also served in World War II. For instance, hundreds of French soldiers were secretly transported there and escaped from German captivity. Considering that the photo looks so peaceful and decades later after the war. What is also special about this photo is that it was taken during the corona period, without any planes or streaks of planes in the sky. I would like to share this work with others because it makes me realise the importance of freedom and peace.
