About the artwork

After a rainy day in the Hageland, the sun set warm and orange and suddenly shone brightly through the window, while drops like tiny lenses refracted the light.

I stood in my kitchen and watched the mundane turn into
a second into a small spectacle.

Bright white, bright orange and dark brown with the most beautiful transitions, repeated in each perfect drop.
The contrasts, the warm glow, the traces of water on the glass.... Together, they created an image that feels as homely as it is dreamy.

This is one of those moments when the inside and outside
blend together: the rain from outside, the warmth from inside, and in between, the window as a thin skin. For me, this work is about perfect, small forms that you usually just walk past, about how beautiful and perfect something like 'a rainy day' and a dirty window can be.

In an interior, it brings a soft narrative, an intimate atmosphere that lets the light do its work.
It is a reminder of how often beauty presents itself when we stop for a moment and look at what is already
is.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
