About the artwork

This abstract work of art shows a powerful composition of deep blue, yellow and white tones that move across the canvas like waves in a stormy ocean. The colours merge in flowing, dynamic strokes, while sharp, white splashes dance across the surface like spray. A small, hidden detail catches the eye on closer inspection: a tiny, bright dot in the bottom corner that shines like a distant lighthouse amidst the chaos. The texture appears almost three-dimensional, as if you could feel the movement of the water.

The inspiration came after a trip to the coast of Ireland, where I experienced the unbridled power of the Atlantic during a storm. A book about the symbolism of the sea intensified my fascination and I wanted to capture that energy. I aim for a cool but vibrant atmosphere that reflects the raw power of nature - a sense of awe and respect.

For me, "Stormy Waves" symbolises the indomitable power of nature and the beauty in its wildness. It was created during a time of inner turmoil when I was seeking solace in nature. I used a digital technique reminiscent of pouring, with layers of colour and splashes to mimic the movement of water, guided by emotion. In an interior setting, this artwork brings a dynamic, modern energy and fits perfectly with people who love the sea, adventure or abstract art. It evokes the endless expanse and power of the ocean.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
