About the artwork

There’s something quietly amusing about this image. A tiny bird perched confidently atop the head of a timeworn classical statue, like it's claimed its rightful throne. The contrast between the delicate, feathered creature and the weathered, moss-covered stone adds a playful tension to the scene. The statue, though originally grand and stoic, now seems almost humble — as if it’s resigned to this daily ritual. What stands out most are the colors: the greenish-yellow lichen clinging to the stone brings a kind of earthy vibrancy, giving the statue an almost living texture. Against the dark, blurry background, the bird and the statue really pop. The light is soft but directional, highlighting the moss and casting gentle shadows that give shape without harshness. There’s a calm stillness here, and yet also a sense of nature reclaiming space in its quiet, unbothered way. It’s both poetic and slightly cheeky — a little moment where history and the present meet.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
