I noticed how the sea foam had gathered into clusters, almost frozen in place on the wet sand, like the waves had left them behind mid-thought. The light was soft, with hints of gold and grey blending into the blue reflections below my feet. What drew me in wasn’t just the color but the contrast between calm and movement—the quiet, puddled surface in front, and the darker, churning waves just behind it. I kept the horizon low on purpose to give space to the sky, where a few contrails and that stretched-out layer of clouds gave the scene more depth. There was a coolness in the air, and the tones in the photo reflect that—blue with just a suggestion of warmth. The mood felt a bit subdued, so I kept the edit restrained, letting the light do most of the work. It was the kind of evening that doesn’t ask for anything dramatic—just a few slow breaths, some scattered light, and a camera close to the ground.
