On the grounds of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, a monkey stares calmly into the camera. His gaze is sharp and unruffled as he seems to adjust to the bustle of visitors around him. Angkor's imposing temples, with their weathered stones and complex architecture, are an impressive contrast to the monkey's simple, everyday behaviour. He sits there, among the remains of an ancient civilisation, unhurriedly. The green vegetation surrounding the temples adds a natural tranquillity to the scene. The monkey seems to care little about the people watching him, his focus is simply on the moment itself. It is a quiet interaction between nature and history, with the animals on the grounds of Angkor Wat having their own place apart from the human bustle that surrounds the temples today.
