About "Spitsbergen: magical Arctic landscape"

About the artwork

Floating on the Bartenszzee somewhere high up in the north between Norway and Russia, further away from civilization a human being can hardly come.
The light in these polar regions is something special, almost magical. It has a softness and purity that you see nowhere else in the world. The photo was taken around midnight just below the island of Kvitøya and the arctic latitude (80 degrees north) . The island was only discovered in 1707 and actually consists of one large ice cap which is often covered by a dome of fog and mist. For a long time we could not see the island either, but on the 2nd day it suddenly became clearer and we had a view of the island above the slope of the fog.
It is very quiet, some floating ice lies motionless in the wrinkleless sea of ice, where the weather can just as well be very rough. Not this night, it's windless and a serene peace and quiet emanates from this overwhelming polar landscape. No sound that disturbs the silence, total silence, where on earth do we find that?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
