About ‘Sorrento - The valley of the mills’ by Thomas Bugdoll
In a gorge in the heart of the Italian city of Sorrento lies this hidden treasure: an abandoned mill that gave the valley its name. Built around 900 AD, the stone house was used as a flour mill until the 19th century. Then the millers left the place as the damp climate in the gorge became an increasing problem.
