Coenraet Decker, after Steven van Lamsweerde, after Willem van Swanenburgh, 1701 - 1703

The Vredenburg (also known as Vredeborch) was a 16th-century castle in the city of Utrecht. Remnants of the castle are still visible on the site where the present Vredenburg Music Centre is situated. The current Vredenburg square takes its name from the former castle.

The people of Utrecht feared that Vredenburg would be occupied again and wanted the castle demolished, but this was against the wishes of the States of Utrecht. On 2 May, the people decided to demolish the castle themselves. Tradition has it that a large group of women, led by Trijn van Leemput, marched to the castle and that Trijn gave the signal to demolish the castle by prying loose the first stones. On the Zandbrug in the centre of Utrecht stands a statue of Trijn, with pickaxe in hand, since 1995.

Coenraet Decker was a printmaker, draughtsman, cartographer born in 1650 in Amsterdam, Holland, Netherlands and died there on 1685-03-02.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
