About the artwork

What immediately draws the eye here is the contrast between deep shadow and bright daylight. A man stands right at the edge of a doorway, framed by the dark interior of the church and the sunlit city beyond. The polished floor reflects just enough light to guide your gaze down the center of the frame. Outside, elegant rooftops and a turret-like structure rise into view, hinting at Rome’s layered architecture. The man’s silhouette feels deliberate, almost like he’s pausing before stepping into something unknown. The lack of visible detail in his figure makes the moment feel symbolic. Inside the church, there are faint mural textures and shadows—subtle but rich in detail if you stop to look. The whole image balances stillness with quiet tension. Light and architecture do most of the storytelling here, while the human presence adds just the right amount of narrative weight. It's about transition, space, and maybe a little solitude too.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
