About "Sailboat sails on a cloud in setting sunlight"

About the artwork

In the center of this image you see a sailboat. It is small in the huge sky setting. It sails from east to west. It transfers people from one cloud to another. A long narrow horizontal cloud forms the strip over which the little boat can sail. The colors in this image are from the sunset, or actually from two sunsets. I spent a year in 2012 photographing sunset and sunrise almost every day. That means being outside at sunrise before the sun rises. This is not pleasant in all seasons: sometimes it means getting up very early, sometimes mostly shivering waiting for the beautiful light, but mostly enjoying the conditions. Sunset photography is a bit more pleasant as far as timing is concerned, although it can be quite cold in winter. In any case, it is always beautiful.
The colorful photos in this image were both taken in late December, at sunset. The end of my solar project. December is the month when almost all of us turn inward a bit more, literally and figuratively. We reflect on the past year and make plans for the new year, or hope for the best, or wish ourselves a better year, or a continuation of all the good things of the past year. We remember those who stayed and those who left, or passed away. This collage symbolizes change, letting go, sailing away if necessary, into a new future.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
