About ‘Rijnhaven Bridge’ by Peet de Rouw

The Rijnhaven Bridge is a bridge for pedestrians and bicycles and connects the Wilhelminapier with the Katendrecht district. Katendrecht was in the past the pink neighborhood where sailors and other people visited the nightlife. Because in Rotterdam many places and objects get a nickname the Rijnhaven bridge quickly got the nickname "The Whore Runner".
This photo was taken with a light-sensitive wide-angle lens from a tripod and with a slow shutter speed. As a result, there is more light in the photo than there actually was. It also gives the water and clouds a typical "look".
Hotel New York, the World Port Centre, the Montevideo and the Rotterdam are visible in the photo.
Hotel New York, with its two towers, is easily recognizable and it exudes the atmosphere of the time when the headquarters of the Holland America Line was located there.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
