A reed warbler, singing among flowering cow parsley. For some time I had been dreaming of this combination. The sedge warbler, amid the soft, almost dreamy backdrop of white blooming umbellifers.
But nature doesn't let itself be forced. Often the bird was too deeply hidden, the wind was too strong or the flowers were not yet in bloom. Still, I kept coming back. Searching again and again, listening, waiting. And then, finally everything fell into place.
