Every spring, beautiful courtship rituals can be seen in nature. The fish transfer between two kingfishers is one of them. Before the kingfishers mate, the male gives a fish to the female. After this transfer, the kingfishers perform a mating.
It has always been a dream of mine to be able to photograph the transfer of a fish between two kingfishers. Getting a picture of two kingfishers at the same time is a challenge, but finally succeeded.
The lighting conditions made it difficult to get a picture without motion blur. Due to the shutter speed of 160/s, there were many blurred photos's among them, but this photo is luckily razor-sharp.
