The Philosopher's Walk, Tetsugaku no Michi in Japanese or Philosopher's Walk in English, is a footpath that owes its name to the philosopher Kitaro Nishida, who regularly walked there for meditation. The philosopher's walk leads along a canal with an enormous amount of cherry trees on the banks. Along the path are shops, restaurants and a number of small temples.
