Quai du Louvre, Paris, Claude Monet, 1866-67
On these 100 meters along the Seine six carriages are passing and about 70 pedestrians. There is one omnibus drawn by two grey Boulonnais horses, one victoria with two girls, one closed private coach, one coupé and two cabs waiting at a cab stand. Probably a good example of the traffic in that time. Boulonnais horses were strong and good trotters.
