On Helgoland's cliffs, a large colony of gannets nests in spring. Just before sunset, warm sunlight shines on the birds against a cool blue background of the sea.
While enjoying both the sunlight and the spectacle of the large colony myself, I looked for individual birds or pairs to capture beautiful intimate moments, as with these two courtship birds. By capturing only the necks, heads and beaks, attention is drawn to the courtship.
This picture fits well in any room, especially if you are a lover of nature and sunlight.
