The Portrait of a Young Woman is a painting by Peter Christ from around 1470 that is considered to be his masterpiece.
Petrus Christus (presumably in Baarle ca. 1410 - Bruges between 13 March 1472 and 1 November 1473) was a Southern Dutch painter, belonging to the school of the Flemish Primitives. He is seen as the most important follower of Jan van Eyck, but was probably never a pupil of this great master.
