About "Peacock shows off its feathery splendour"

About the artwork

In the village where I live, someone keeps his Peacock in the garden but I also come across it away on the street by the side of the road. in my village. What a beautiful bird. For when he goes to show off. I stay still for a moment to enjoy it. So couldn't resist making a painting "Wall decoration" I call my objects. They stand out because of their coloured plumage and the large ornamental feathers of the males. In contrast to the colourful appearance of the male, the female of the blue peacock is inconspicuously coloured. In the green peacock, the distinction between the two sexes is smaller. The peacock is probably the oldest known ornamental bird. Over 4,000 years ago, the peacock reached Europe via Mesopotamia. Originally kept in parks and gardens for their beauty, roasted peacocks soon became a culinary status symbol. In addition, its feathers were highly sought after as a 'drying bouquet' or decoration for ladies' hats. Peacocks appear in old folk tales, in which peacocks are associated with love and gods. There are those who believe it brings good luck to find a peacock feather. By nature, peacocks eat both plant and animal material. Main foods are grains and seeds and special feed pellets for ornamental birds. Weeds, fruits and vegetables are suitable as supplementary food. Like other fowl species, the animal will not despise insects and worms.
