One of the highlights of Parco dell'Ossidiana di Conca 'e Cannas is the obsidian quarry, where obsidian, a glassy volcanic stone, was mined and used by the ancient Sardinian people. The quarry is still visible and is an important historical monument. The obsidian was used for sharp tools and jewellery and is an important part of Sardinia's archaeological history. Visitors can view the area and learn about the techniques that were used to extract and work the obsidian. The quarry is a unique place to visit and gives a good idea of ancient Sardinian culture.
