This impressive oil painting shows the burial chamber of Christ from the inside, in a careful and light-capped depiction. The scene is flooded with spiritual light that shines from above on the central point of the painting - the empty grave table on which Jesus had lain after his crucifixion. The light symbolises the divine presence and the resurrection of Christ.

A staircase leads down from a higher level to the burial chamber, which may indicate the idea of redemption and spiritual ascent, for an ascent is required to escape material life.

There is a certain mysticism surrounding the scene as it seems to be set in a cave or grotto, which may point to the idea of darkness and death from which Christ rose. The rays of light falling from above give the impression of divine light penetrating the darkness and bringing hope and salvation.

The use of details such as the stone wall, door or gate,opening gives the painting a realistic quality while emphasising the idea of redemption and passage to a higher spiritual state.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
