About "Nyastølfossen in autumn light"

About the artwork

A beautiful hike brought us to Nyastølfossen. The path, strewn with large stones, demanded careful treading with every step. The rugged Norwegian forest did not offer the easy passage I had hoped for; to reach the foot of the waterfall, I had to settle for a diversion and limited views.

Slowly we climbed up along the path, without finding a clear vista to the waterfall. Only halfway up its height did we encounter a viewpoint. Although it was not exactly the sight I was hoping for, the view there was breathtaking. Satisfied with the completed climb, I lowered myself onto the damp ground and began patiently searching for the perfect angle to capture the waterfall.

However, the light was not cooperating; but patience is a virtue in such moments. Then the cloud cover briefly broke open, and sunbeams stroked across the top of Nyastølfossen. The rays this time were not the traditional golden light often praised, but cold and powerful, almost silver - although 'titanium' better describes what I saw.

In photography, light is everything. Without captivating light, no captivating photographs. Of course there are techniques and tricks: framing, filters, post-processing. But when nature shows its own magic, the photographer's happiness is immeasurable.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
